High Altitude Balloon Launch

Four AP Physics students from Shippensburg Area School District, Chandler Olson, Hayden Rhinehart, Patti Mari and Shaine Rotz were working with Bradley Foreman from Shippensburg University on a High Altitude Balloon. They launched their balloon today with the Kindergarten and first grade students from GBLUES. The balloon is outfitted with a radio transmitter, temperature and pressure gauges, as well as video cameras. We have tracked the balloon all day and it appears to have landed outside of Shartsville, Pa. Bradly will keep us posted on the recovery of the balloon.
